A country style meat and.3 vegetables place. So much food for 2 people we wanted to share. They said we couldn't..hummm. lets see...I paid for a meal now my spouse wants to share and I'm not allowed? Not happy
If I could rate it 10, I would. Amazing lunch specials. Amazing food. The prime rib....my favorite. The cakes and goodies are so fresh and delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere is refreshing. Don't forget to take a peek at their live possum.
Service was excellent as well as the food. One of the best places we know of to grab a normal type of food. Good prices.
Great down home cooking in a relaxed and comfortable setting! Highly recommend the fried pickles, green fried tomatoes, fried oysters, Royal Reds, turnip greens, fried okra, pork chops, mashed 'taters with gravy; and the chocolate cake and carrots cake are both to die for!
Fried chicken was fantastic and I don't like chicken on the bone. Made me think twice about my preferences.....mashed potatoes, turnips and that luscious Carmel apple cake was just wonderful. We will be back when we return. Oh crab claws were the best
We usually have a party of 9-11 usually 3 of those being kids. We always call to be sure Jess is working. Jess is the best waitress! She knows what she is doing. Even when we all order salads she never complains. She is the best!!!! She is an asset to Mr. Spuds! Keep up the good work Jess! And I would like to Thank Cindy for always letting us know if Jess is at work when we call. And also for always putting us at a table that is large enough for all of us and if not she will put some in a booth next to us. Like at the large round table. Cindy is also a great asset to Mr. Spuds! Great job Cindy. I know the restaurant business can be a little hectic at times but you do a great job at getting people seated as quickly as possible. Quaint place that is very clean, spectacular unique food and great service. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. This is must go to place when visiting the area, or if you have friends visiting. This is a great place to make a regular place because of the many unique options.
